Learn more about me

Hi i'm Michelle, an integrative Counsellor/ Psychotherapist, I am trained in all aspects of mental health, (e.g. anxiety, trauma, bereavement) and have a particular interest in trauma, anxiety and autism). I specialise in working with the mind-body connection.

I am fully qualified and completed my training at the only counselling and psychotherapy training centre based within the NHS which trains students to BACP accredited standard.

I am passionate about supporting people to become the person they imagine they could be. It’s important to me to educate as many people as possible on mental health and wellbeing, to raise awareness as well as knowledge.

I provide tailor made workshops to businesses and schools. I hope one day the stigma around mental health ends and future generations will talk about it freely.

Previously I have worked for the mental health charity MIND as a counsellor, volunteered with the Samaritans and counselled young people in schools and colleges.

I have attended numerous additional training courses on trauma, suicide, self harm, autism, attachment, emotional regulation and safeguarding.  It is important to me to keep up with regular training so that I may consistently increase my knowledge and skills, so that I can help you in the best way possible.

Having had counselling myself in the past, I know how overwhelming it can be to find the right counsellor.  It's important to feel comfortable and to find a connection with the therapist you choose.

I feel fortunate to have been able to work with many different individuals using my experience, intuition and knowledge to support and guide them. Counselling can be a challenge and emotionally it can be draining, however if you are willing to put in the hard work and show determination to help yourself, I can support you to discover your true self.
