Initial Telephone or Email Consultation
I offer a free telephone or email consultation. This gives us a chance to discuss your reason(s) for seeking therapy at this time and for you to be able to ask any questions.
There may be occasions where I feel another therapist would be more suitable for you, in this instance I will let you know.
If after the initial consultation you would like to go ahead and arrange a session with me, we can set this up. However, there is no pressure to make an instant decision, reflection is often a good idea.
Prior to any initial counselling session you will receive an email outlining all the information you will need. This will include the contract, privacy policy, payment information and cancellation policy.
Counselling and Psychotherapy Sessions
All counselling and psychotherapy sessions are held at my private practice in Rainham, Kent. Restroom facilities are available.
In addition to face to face sessions, I offer online therapy via Zoom.
I currently work with age 16 and upwards.
Whilst there is no set number of sessions, most clients benefit from a minimum of 6 sessions. Longer term psychotherapy can be beneficial where a deeper exploration and understanding is sought.
Your initial session will involve us going over the confidentiality contract (which will be emailed to you prior to your session to look over). I will spend the time getting to know more about you. It's important to me to offer you a non judgmental safe space for you to speak freely. I will answer any questions you may have and if at the end of the session you feel you would like to work together we can discuss future sessions. There is no pressure to come back, you must do what is best for you.
If I feel for any reason that we cannot work together (e.g. you would benefit from a different set of expertise), I will endeavour to find you another Counsellor/ Psychotherapist.
Fees
All Counselling and Psychotherapy sessions are £50 for 50 minutes.
All session fees are to be paid in advance of each session.
I will provide further information via email should you decide after an initial chat to go ahead and book.
Cancellations
It is politely requested that you provide at least 24-hours notice if you wish to cancel or rearrange a session, otherwise you will be charged in full.
