A very warm welcome to you

Hi I am Michelle, an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist working in Medway, Kent. It is a great privilege to be able to share my knowledge to help raise community mental health awareness. Talking openly about mental health can reduce the misconceptions and stigma, and can encourage those who are suffering to seek help.

My counselling approach strives to empower and guide you through a process of deeper discovery and self awareness into the ways in which you think and feel. We can all benefit from some additional support at times when life becomes challenging, and it can be helpful to talk to someone who is able to offer an alternative insight.

I've helped many individuals suffering from the effects of anxiety, low self esteem, bereavement, anger, stress and trauma. I take a 'whole person' approach which encompasses the mind-body connection- please see my approach for more information.

I offer individual face to face and online counselling, as well as educational workshops to help raise mental health awareness.

Have you reached a point in your life where you feel you might benefit from someone listening to what's going on for you right now?

Starting therapy can be a daunting process, as a qualified counsellor I can support you at times when life becomes unpredictable and you feel overwhelmed.

Helping you to face difficulties and overcome emotional challenges such as, anxiety, stress, bereavement, trauma or depression.

You may feel you need to talk about your life journey and experiences, what is important to you and perhaps the meaning of life. Working with me will give you the opportunity to do this in a safe, non judgmental space. Together we can identify any unhelpful patterns and implement positive changes into your life.

Counselling Testimonials

"I want to start by saying I couldn't have asked for a better counsellor than Michelle. She is the most gentle, kind and caring lady who you feel genuinely wants to help you. I had never had counselling before so was very nervous at my first session and did not know what to expect. I need not have worried as Michelle's kindness put me at ease straight away and I felt an instant connection with her. She is very easy to talk to and it is because of her compassion, guidance, understanding and encouragement I am the positive, motivated, contented and happy person I am now. Mine has been quite a long process but after each and every session I always came out feeling stronger, feelings that stay with me and continue to help me with my well being and to believe in myself. Michelle is very knowledgable and she has taught me so much about so many things and I cannot thank her enough for always being there and for working with me on my journey."
